It's been a while

Alright, unlike some people I know from Boston, I will maintain my good habit in keeping my blog up-to-date. Meanwhile, my tardiness has left me a lot of cover succinctly over the span of the past month;

Visit to Boston

I was in Boston once again last week for Thursday night and Friday as I had to attend a recruitment drive. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Memorial drive. However, it was disappointing that I did not get a room with a view of the Charles River.

Well, I used to get a million dollar view of the River when I stayed at the dismal slavehouse called the Tang building (E55?). I bitched and grunted to the dean of housing till they got me to Sidney and Pacific. I still remember in specifics that the dean personally told me that the only reason why they allowed the transfer was due to my persistence in ranting..hehe. So it must be bad karma playing out its acts on me.

Anyhow, Oof got me a Nerd Pride shirt. Together with Tuyen, Oof also attended my presentation and asked probing questions. On a side note, Oof's rats were not in the cage..I wonder if he finally ate them.

I was in Venice!! (I wish)

So my client took some time off for spring break. That meant that my team needed to have a professional development program so we can hone our business skills and develop as better agents (just like how Bond proved himself in Casino Royale) What can be a better location than Vegas?

I stayed at the Venetian. The rooms were suites with a living room, a flight of stair to the beds (i tripped once at night)...Gondola trips, great food, spectacular shows, mesmerizing night life and of cos the Casinos!! I think I only got 8 hours sleep in a span of 3 days.

As for the game of statistics. I thought I had good luck on my side as I was up $500 at black jack at one moment but within 1 hour I lost $250. I knew its high time to walk about with $250 up; nothing substantial but at least its in the green. The most Bizarre thing was, I received 7 aces in a single hand; in a row!! It was absolutely bizarre. I continued splitting the cards till the rules didn't allow me further. The dealer had to call the pit boss to report the incident as the chances of that happening is almost next to nothing. When I thought that was just peculiar, the next round of hands, I received 5 Aces in a single hand again!!!!

Mamba gets a companion; BlackMamba 2

This is the heart of BlackMamba 1; a 5.6 Liter V-8 pure engine capable of churning out more than 300 horses.

Before I continue, I just want to declare this firmly; I am not going through a 1/4-1/3 life crisis; NO!

SO this is the heart of my new love, Blackmamba2; 2.5 liter, v6 engine in a horizontal boxster configuration mated with a convertible 2-door body in a mid-engine configuration. The Transmission actually extends to the rear of the rear wheel axles.

Finally united; Blackmamba 1 and Blackmamba2. Both are German cousins whose birth places are not too far away from each other; stuttgart and manheim.

It has always been a childhood dream of mine to drive a Porsche; my arm is sore from me pinching myself to check if I am still dreaming.
